Following up on their recent album release, the Grapes ( Alexander Charos, Chase Swan, Tom Dicks, J Mendicino, and Philip Charos ) bring their indie analog sounds to the live stage. With influences from grunge, garage pop, and indie roock, this St.Pete group is a local favorite.
A reunion show brings the Grecian Urns back to life and the bay area. Paste Magazine says of their last record: Album Lovedream is full of the Grecian Urns’ pretty heart-hugging folk pop, which is fresh and full of sunshine. The arrangements and lyricism are rather accomplished for musicians so relatively young, with horns, strings and percussive textures, charming boy-girl harmonies, whistling and clapping and exuberant sing-shouting, and catchy refrains that trigger instant feel-good gooseflesh.
Chaunces: With bloghouse vibes and a orange beanie, chaunces takes it back to where all a man needed was an MPC and an old Roland keyboard to survive.
Háros: Multi instrumentalist Philip Charos’ new releases see him taking the indie songwriter role in stride.
