“His demos sound like other songwriters’ finished products, but Blake Daniels is truly just getting started. After bouncing around this side of the Rocky Mountains for a few years, the 28-year-old songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from St. Petersburg is ready to share more of himself with listeners.” – Creative Loafing Tampa
Blake Daniels is a songwriter and musician based out of St. Petersburg Florida. His multi-faceted style of indie rock is reminiscent of Elliott Smith, the Kinks, and Harry Nilsson. With an 11 song LP due this Summer, Daniels and his five-piece band are ready to showcase their unique sound to listeners here and abroad.

“A little song to keep us unafraid.”
This line from Wendell Berry is tattooed on Van Plating’s right forearm. A critically acclaimed indie Americana artist and multi-instrumentalist, Van Plating has a rugged vulnerability uniquely hers –– fermented in the orange groves and hot verdant summers of the sunshine state.
She sang before she could talk but didn’t pick up a guitar until she was in her 20s, much like the writer/punk rock poet laureate (and one of her greatest inspirations), Patti Smith. Van Plating started her professional career in music as a child, a classically trained violinist performing from the time she was five years old. Van spent her childhood immersed in bluegrass, gospel, rock-n-roll, and classical music –– simultaneously learning her scales and arpeggios during the week ear-led improvisation on the weekends sitting in with her grandad and his veteran band of eight brothers, all accomplished bluegrass pickers and singers. Her father was a rock-n-roll singer/guitarist with his own band in the 70s. Her mother played hymns and gospel piano.
