Abstract Citizen is the newest group from Guitarist/Composer Aaron Lebos. The band’s genre can be categorized under the wide umbrella term of “Modern Jazz” and all the music was originally written as a response to the pandemic.
Aaron is a Miami native and has been an active member of the music scene since he was 16 years old. He plays with some of the biggest names in South Florida such as Nicole Henry, Spam All-Stars, and Nu Deco Ensemble. He incorporates his diverse and eclectic style into the music of Abstract Citizen.
This is Aaron’s first project utilizing vocals, and the band explores this endless textural possibility in many stunning and genre bending ways. The music is filled with simple yet unique melodies, complex yet accessible time signatures, improvisation, and a balance of structure and chaos. Most importantly this new music is filled with freshness and sincerity.
